Golden Wishes Gala
Due to Covid-19, the FreeWishes Foundation was unable to host our annual Golden Wishes Gala, an ultimate event for seniors throughout the metro Atlanta area. This magical event is normally held the Saturday before Thanksgiving and consist of an evening filled with special guests, dinner and dancing to a live band, a DJ; alongside influential leaders from the Atlanta community.
The Golden Wishes Gala, began eight years ago at East Lake YMCA located in Atlanta, GA with about 45 senior citizens in attendance. At that time, the event consisted of a catered Thanksgiving meal and every senior was blessed with a ham or turkey to take home. Presently, the event host over 1000 seniors at Atlanta’s renowned Oceans Ballroom at the Georgia Aquarium.
